Apple To Open Second Data Center In Denmark

Apple has announced that it will be opening a second data center in Denmark, the company revealed that it will open a $921 million data center in  the country in 2019.

The new data center in Denmark will be run on 100 percent renewable energy and operations for the data center will start in the second quarter of 20-19 ion Aabenraa in southern Denmark.
“We’re thrilled to be expanding our data center operations in Denmark, and investing in new sources of clean power,” Erik Stannow, Nordic manager for Apple, told Reuters in an email.

“The planned facility in Aabenraa, like all of our data centers, will run on 100 percent renewable energy from day one, thanks to new clean energy sources we’re adding,” he said.
Apple is also in the process of opening a new data center in Ireland, although this one is taking some time as residents of the area have put up objections against it.
